In the second week of the school holidays we caught up with my Aunt Gerrie at the Botanic Gardens for lunch and then went up North Terrace to have a look through the Migration Museum. Each holidays we try and meet in the city and visit either the Art Gallery or Museum as well as the Botanic Gardens. Next time we may go to the State Library. The Migration Museum was very interesting for the boys with lots of interactive displays and maps. We did a mystery trail to find twelve hidden items through the museum.

Black and White Design
For the Spoonflower contest this week, floral colouring book wallpaper, I decided to do a variation on one of my old designs Garden at Twilight, I am really happy with how it looks as a black and white design and you can see the wallpaper mock up from Spoonflower below.
Caravan Crockery
Last Christmas I bought these lovely plates and bowls from the op shop at Normanville to put in our caravan at Carrickalinga. I love the colours, they are so rich and I think my grandmother had some plates in these colours in the old farm house at Woodside.
This Easter a lovely lady I know gave me these six matching plates from her caravan, she was having a clear out of all the old crockery. I love them, eventually we want to renovate our caravan, hopefully all in 1970's style.
The Local Wildlife
We have had Rosellas in the Chinese elms for the last few weeks, the Lorikeets seem to have moved on, the Rosellas do make more of a mess because they nip off the branches as they eat the seeds.
Easter Weekend
We had a great Easter weekend, Alex and I made some chocolates and did some Easter craft. On Sunday we stayed in our caravan at Carrickalinga and then dropped into the Meadows Easter fair on the way to my parents where we had and Easter egg hunt.

Market Tote
Just finished working on a design for a market tote today. I used the little gold finches that have been in the Chinese Elm outside our kitchen window as inspiration. The cut and sew panel can be used for either a tote with contrast lining or two cushions. There is extra pieces on a wider width for the linen cotton canvas that include a zipper pouch with contrast lining as well as an extra section of the lining design that could be used for pockets inside the bag.
